Level 5 – Baden-Powell Award
This is the final advancement level in the Rover Programme for individual development and is the equivalent of the ‘Springbok Award’ for Rovers. It is the highest non-national award a Rover can achieve in the Crew. Rovers completing the Baden-Powell Award are reviewed by the Provincial Rover Advisory Council to ensure standards are kept high across Crews.
The requirements for the Baden-Powell Awards are:
- Attain the four Advancement Bars.
- Attain four Rover Proficiency Awards.
- Attain one Rover Challenge Award.
- Attend a panel interview with the Provincial Commissioner or their nominee to confirm that the Promise and Law have been adopted as a way of life and discuss the personal development that has occurred by means of the Rover Programme.
