The lion’s head hike was organized on a beautiful Saturday evening with a warm breeze and beautiful clear skies. The start was a bit delayed, but finally Shanet, Devon, Peter, Damon and myself got started on the trails, there were bustling with people, out to enjoy the city lights on a summer evening in the nature. As the start was quite close to sunset we decided not to hike all the way up, but on the contour path along the mountain up to a formation of rocks. There we took a break, some photos and some well-deserved supper, enjoying the beautiful warm colours pouring over the city and the still ocean. Although it didn’t go as planned and we didn’t summit it was a lovely evening spent in the company of the rovers, sharing laughter and creating beautiful memories.
